How to Hatch Eggs in Fake an Egg

Hatch eggs in Fake an Egg by choosing a yard egg, carrying it to your pen, using an open nest, and confirming the resulting pet and active slot.

To hatch an egg in Fake an Egg, buy an egg in the central yard, carry it to the pen marked with your username, place it on an empty nest circle, wait for the countdown, and confirm the new pet in your pen or Pets menu. The exact interaction key depends on your device and the current prompt, so follow the action shown on screen rather than assuming a PC key applies everywhere.

Before you buy

Check that you have enough cash, one open nest, and a clear route back to your own pen. Read the egg’s full floating label: name, rarity, displayed price, and timer where shown. If another player may be disguised as the egg, use a scanner that covers its rarity or choose a lower-risk target.

Avoid spending every dollar just because a rare timer appeared. Keep enough cash for the next required action and consider whether you are saving for Rebirth. The Rarity Guide helps separate a tier label from an actual income upgrade.

Buy and carry the egg home

Approach the egg until the current Buy interaction appears. Confirm the label one final time, then purchase it. Recent walkthroughs show the avatar carrying the egg by hand. Move directly toward the fenced pen identified with your username.

Do not confuse another player’s pen with yours. If the route is crowded, use landmarks instead of following a moving player. Keep the camera angled so the pen sign and nest circles remain visible. The game can update controls, so use the prompt displayed for your device.

Place it on an open nest

Inside your pen, walk onto or beside an unused nest circle while still holding the egg. Use the displayed Drop, Place, or Hatch prompt. A visible countdown should start on that nest. If nothing begins, back away, verify the nest is empty, and approach its center again.

Recent footage shows more than one nest position in a pen, but the number available to your account or progression state should be read from the current game. Do not buy another egg until you know where the first one went.

Wait for the hatch and place the pet

Let the countdown reach zero. Some sessions show a paid Skip Timer option; treat that as optional and read the current Robux confirmation carefully. Events or temporary conditions may change hatch speed, so a timer observed in one session is not a universal duration.

When the egg opens, follow any prompt to place or activate the pet. Then open the Pets or Slots menu. Confirm the pet name, displayed income, prefix or mutation label, and whether it occupies an active slot. A pet stored but not equipped may not contribute to the total shown for active pets.

Troubleshoot a missing hatch

No Buy prompt

Move closer, face the egg, check whether another interaction is active, and verify that the object is still available. Rejoin only after trying a fresh target.

No nest prompt

Confirm it is your pen, that you are carrying the egg, and that the circle is empty. Approach from another angle.

Timer ended, no pet visible

Check the Pets menu, Slots view, and pen positions. The pet may need a placement action or may be stored.

Pet is not earning

Check whether it is equipped, whether your active slots are full, and whether the displayed total changes after using the current Equip action.

If the server disconnects while you carry or hatch an egg, inspect cash, inventory, nests, and Pets after reconnecting before repeating the purchase. Do not assume the last animation reflects the saved state.

Hatch for progression efficiently

Keep nests occupied only when doing so will not block a better planned egg. Use shorter or affordable eggs while learning the loop, then compare the hatched pets under the same feeder and Rebirth multipliers. When a temporary hatch-speed banner appears, fill available nests before the window ends, but do not overspend merely to use the bonus.

After a new species hatches, open the Index and check for an unclaimed reward. Then return to the Pets menu and use the current equipment controls. The Index Rewards Guide and How to Equip Pets cover those follow-up steps.

Hatching questions

Where do eggs hatch?

They hatch on nest circles inside your own fenced pen. Buying in the public yard is only the acquisition step; you must carry the egg home.

Can I skip the timer?

Recent walkthroughs show a Skip Timer offer. Read the current confirmation and cost before using it; the normal route is to wait.

Why did the new pet not raise income?

It may not be active, or your slots may already contain stronger pets. Check the Pets menu and displayed slot count rather than assuming every owned pet earns simultaneously.
