The feeder is a trough in your pen that current community guides connect to a Pet Cash boost. Food comes from a stall with stock, costs or unlocks, and a refresh timer. Because guides disagree on some values, read the current food card and feeder label before spending.
Check the baseline
Open the Pets menu and record active pets, displayed rates, total income, Rebirth level, and current feeder multiplier. This gives you a clean comparison after adding food.
Make sure the strongest intended pets are equipped first. Boosting a weak or incomplete lineup makes it harder to judge the value of food.
Get food from the stall
Open the Pet Food stall and read each item’s current cost, fill contribution, unlock requirement, stock, and refresh timer. Recent guides show Carrot and Apple examples, but they disagree on cost and unlock timing. Use the live menu.
Take only what supports the current goal. Limited stock can matter more later when active income is higher.
Add food to the trough
Select the food in inventory or hotbar, return to your own pen, approach the trough, and use the displayed Add Food prompt. Confirm that the item left inventory and that the feeder’s fill or multiplier changed.
Reopen the Pets menu and compare total income with the baseline. If the rate already includes the feeder, record the final value without multiplying again.
Troubleshoot the feeder
If the prompt is missing, confirm that you are at your own trough and holding valid food. If the item disappears but the label does not change, wait for UI refresh and reopen the menu. If the gain differs from a guide, record the current food, fill, multiplier, active lineup, and date.
Do not add multiple food types at once when testing. One controlled addition makes the result interpretable.
Decide whether food is worth it
Compare the cost with the additional cash per second under the current lineup. A free or cheap item can be an easy gain, while an expensive item may be worse than an egg that replaces a weak active pet. Consider how long the feeder effect lasts or how fill is consumed; if the UI does not state it, keep that field unknown.
Keep a feeder test record
Use one row per test rather than relying on memory. Record the food name, displayed price, stock, stated fill, active pets, income before feeding, income after feeding, feeder label, and the time checked. Keep unknown fields blank. That small record separates a real feeder change from a simultaneous pet swap, Rebirth bonus, or delayed menu refresh.
Repeat the test only when the same food returns to stock. If the second result is different, check whether the lineup or a server update changed before treating either value as universal. A value observed in one server is a snapshot, not a permanent food table.
Time food around the current goal
Early in a run, prioritize a stable active lineup and enough cash for useful eggs before buying uncertain food. In the middle of a run, test one affordable item when the added income can repay its cost during the session. Before leaving, check whether the game explicitly says the feeder remains active offline; do not assume it does.
If food is scarce, save the last item until you can measure it with a full intended lineup. Feeding while several slots are empty gives a result that may no longer describe the boost once stronger pets are equipped.
Avoid common feeder mistakes
- Do not copy a food price from an older guide without checking the current stall.
- Do not add several foods before taking a new income reading.
- Do not count the same multiplier twice when the Pets menu already shows the boosted total.
- Do not spend premium currency because a guide calls an item essential; compare the live offer with ordinary egg progress.
- Do not report a duration or offline effect unless the live UI or a controlled timed test establishes it.
Feeder questions
When does the feeder unlock?
Community reports conflict around early Rebirth rewards. Check your live Rebirth and feeder UI.
Are carrots free?
One guide reports free limited stock while another reports a cash or Robux price. The current stall is decisive.
Does feeder boost offline income?
The complete offline formula is not official. Record feeder state in matched offline intervals before drawing a conclusion.
Does more food always mean a larger multiplier?
The reviewed sources do not establish a permanent fill-to-multiplier table. Add one item, read the live feeder label, and compare the before-and-after income instead of extrapolating.
