Your first Fake an Egg session should produce one active pet, a known route between the yard and your pen, one tested disguise, and a clear next goal. Do not chase an expensive label before you understand nests, slots, scanners, and the cash reset shown by the current Rebirth panel.
Learn your landmarks
Find the pen marked with your username, the central egg yard, nest circles, Pets menu, Index, Rebirth area, Scanners stall, and Pet Food source. Walk from the yard back to your pen without carrying anything. This route becomes important for purchased eggs and stolen pets.
Read prompts from your device. Keyboard, controller, touch, and current UI labels can differ from community videos.
Hatch your first pet
Choose an affordable egg from the public yard. Read its name, rarity, price, and timer, then buy it using the current interaction. Carry it directly to your pen, place it on an empty nest, wait for the countdown, and follow any placement prompt.
Open the Pets or Slots menu and confirm the new pet is active. Record the displayed income and slot count. If it remains stored, use the current Equip action or Equip Best. The Hatching Guide covers missing prompts and blocked nests.
Claim the first collection reward
Open the Index after discovering a new species. Recent guides report that rewards require a manual claim, so do not assume the balance updates automatically. Read the live reward and completion counter rather than copying an older total.
Use the reward to support the next planned step: another affordable egg, a scanner, or progress toward the current Rebirth requirement. Avoid spending simply because a menu has a button.
Test a disguise
Recent walkthroughs show a green pipe in the playerโs pen opening the disguise selection. Choose an unlocked egg form, confirm it, move into the public yard, and stop among ordinary eggs. Set a short time limit for the test.
The official description says to disguise as an egg and wait for a victim. Community guides report a payout when another player or bot buys the disguise. Verify the current result and exit control; do not assume every egg form pays the same amount.
Attempt one controlled theft
Before entering a rival pen, identify the return route and watch the owner. Pick a nearby pet whose value is visible, use the current Steal interaction, and head straight home when the escape objective appears. Confirm that reaching your pen banks the pet and then check whether it is equipped.
If the route is crowded or the owner is watching, wait. A failed attempt teaches less when you never had a realistic path. The Steal Pets Guide adds target and defense choices.
Plan the first Rebirth carefully
Open the live Rebirth panel and read every requirement, reward, and reset warning. Public guides checked on October 24 give conflicting first-Rebirth eggs, cash totals, and multipliers. Do not choose between those reports; follow the counters shown in your server.
Confirm whether only cash resets and whether pets, items, Index progress, and unlocks remain. Rebirth only after you understand what you keep and have completed any purchase that should happen before the reset.
Beginner mistakes
Following an old number
Use the live price, rate, scanner, and Rebirth panels. Values in an October video may already differ.
Owning but not equipping
Check active slots after every hatch or theft.
Buying every egg
Keep a reserve and decide whether income, collection, or Rebirth is the current goal.
Raiding without a return line
Learn your base route before pickup and abandon a bad opening.
First-session finish line
End when you can point to your pen from the yard, hatch and equip without guessing, explain your current total income, claim an Index reward, enter and exit disguise, and read the live Rebirth requirements. That foundation is more useful than a rushed expensive purchase.
