Fake an Eggโs official experience art promotes offline mutations, and reviewed video evidence shows GOLD, DIAMOND, and RAINBOW labels. Those sources do not establish a complete mutation list, odds, duration, stacking rule, or universal multiplier. Use the final value displayed by your current pet.
What is currently documented
GOLD
Observed on a Chicken Egg in creator footage and on a Llama pet in a community guide. Exact odds and multiplier remain unverified.
DIAMOND
Observed as a Chicken Egg prefix in creator footage. Source, duration, and numerical effect were not established.
RAINBOW
Observed on a Cat pet in creator footage. The rate was obscured, so the prefix alone does not prove a multiplier.
Offline mutations
Promoted by official art. The image does not explain the trigger, timing, result pool, or formula.
Compare one mutation safely
Record the base pet or egg label, displayed rate, feeder state, Rebirth, active event, and time. Change only one condition. Then read the new label and displayed rate from the same menu.
If the mutated pet is a different species or several boosts changed, you cannot isolate a mutation multiplier. Keep the final displayed rate as the actionable value without reverse-engineering an unsupported formula.
Repeat the comparison with the same species when possible. Note whether the label appeared on the egg before hatching or on the pet afterward, because those observations may represent different stages. Preserve a screenshot that includes the label, rate, and active boosts rather than cropping the colorful prefix alone.
Avoid double counting
Many game UIs display the final rate after boosts. If you enter that number into a calculator, use multiplier 1 unless the game explicitly shows a separate unapplied factor. Applying a guessed GOLD value again inflates the estimate.
Do not import values from Steal an Egg or another similarly named experience. Shared words and colors are not shared mechanics.
Plan around an unknown outcome
Treat a mutation as a bonus rather than a guaranteed purchase result when odds are unavailable. Buy an egg because its normal outcome supports your progression, not because a screenshot suggests a rare prefix will appear.
For offline claims, record logout and return states. One result can document that interval but cannot establish probability. Repeat under comparable conditions before drawing a pattern.
Decide whether to equip a mutated pet
Open the Pets menu and compare the mutated instance with the weakest active pet. Use the final displayed rate under the same feeder and Rebirth state. If the mutated pet improves the total, equip it and record the change. If it does not, keeping it stored can still matter for collection or a future balance change.
A prefix does not override active-slot limits. Confirm that Equip Best selected the mutated instance you intended, especially when you own more than one pet with the same base name.
Keep the Index record clear
Check whether the live Index records the base species, the prefix, or both. Do not claim a separate collection entry until the menu shows it. If an event adds a new mutation-like label, record the event source and availability window separately from permanent mutations.
Common mutation mistakes
- Publishing a multiplier derived from two different species.
- Comparing rates before and after a feeder or Rebirth change.
- Treating a prefix on an egg as proof of the resulting pet formula.
- Copying names or values from Steal an Egg or another experience.
- Calling one offline result a probability.
What to do after a mutation appears
Record the complete label, finish the hatch if necessary, open the Pets menu, note the final rate and active state, claim any new Index reward, and compare the total before and after equipment. That sequence produces a useful decision even when the underlying odds remain unknown.
Mutation questions
What mutations exist?
GOLD, DIAMOND, and RAINBOW are visibly documented labels, and offline mutations are officially promoted. A complete list is not verified.
What are the multipliers?
No complete reliable multiplier table was found for Fake an Egg. Use current displayed rates.
Do mutations stack?
The reviewed sources do not establish stacking, caps, or interactions. Keep compound formulas unknown until the game shows them.
Is a prefixed pet always better?
Not automatically. Compare the final displayed rate and slot impact. A stronger base species can still outperform a prefixed early pet.
